ಅರಸಿನಗುಂಡಿಯಂತಹ ಕಾಡಿನೊಳಗಿನ ಜಲಪಾತಗಳ ಸೌಂದರ್ಯ ಅವುಗಳ ಸಹಜತೆಯಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಪ್ರವಾಸಿ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯಗಳು ಅಥವಾ ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಿಲ್ಲದಿರುವುದೇ ಇಂತಹ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ಆಕರ್ಷಣೆ.
ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹೋಗುವವರು ತಾವು ತಂದ ವಸ್ತುಗಳನ್ನು ಮರಳಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬರುವುದು, ಪ್ಲಾಸ್ಟಿಕ್ ಬಳಕೆಯನ್ನು ಕಡಿಮೆ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಡಿನ ಸಸ್ಯವರ್ಗಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾನಿ ಮಾಡದಿರುವುದು ಮುಖ್ಯ.
ಜಲಪಾತದ ಬಳಿ ಕಲ್ಲುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರೆಯುವುದು, ಮರಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾನಿ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಅಥವಾ ಜೋರಾಗಿ ಸಂಗೀತ ಹಾಕುವುದು ಈ ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ವಾತಾವರಣವನ್ನು ಹಾಳು ಮಾಡುತ್ತದೆ.
ಬೈಂದೂರು ಮತ್ತು ಕೊಲ್ಲೂರು ಭಾಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವು ಜಲಪಾತಗಳಿದ್ದರೂ, ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದಕ್ಕೂ ತನ್ನದೇ ಆದ ಸ್ವರೂಪವಿದೆ. ಅರಸಿನಗುಂಡಿಯ ಗುರುತು ದಟ್ಟ ಕಾಡಿನೊಳಗಿನ ಜಲಪಾತ ಮತ್ತು ಅದನ್ನು ತಲುಪುವ ಚಾರಣ.
ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತು ದೂರದಿಂದ ಜಲಪಾತವನ್ನು ನೋಡುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ, ಕಾಡಿನೊಳಗೆ ನಡೆದು ಅದರ ಸದ್ದನ್ನು ಕೇಳುತ್ತಾ ಮುಂದೆ ಸಾಗುವುದು ಮತ್ತು ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮರಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಜಲಧಾರೆಯನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ನಿಜವಾದ ಅನುಭವ.
ಕೊಲ್ಲೂರಿನ ಮೂಕಾಂಬಿಕಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಮತ್ತು ಕೊಡಚಾದ್ರಿಯ ಬೆಟ್ಟಗಳ ನಡುವೆ ಇರುವ ಈ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವು ಸಣ್ಣ ತೊರೆಗಳು, ಜಲಧಾರೆಗಳು ಮತ್ತು ಕಾಡಿನ ಹಾದಿಗಳಿವೆ. ಅರಸಿನಗುಂಡಿ ಅವುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗಮನಾರ್ಹವಾದ ಜಲಪಾತ.
ಒಂದೆಡೆ ಮೂಕಾಂಬಿಕಾ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಆಧ್ಯಾತ್ಮಿಕ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ, ಇನ್ನೊಂದೆಡೆ ಕೊಡಚಾದ್ರಿಯ ಬೆಟ್ಟ ಮತ್ತು ಪಶ್ಚಿಮ ಘಟ್ಟದ ದಟ್ಟ ಕಾಡು — ಈ ಎರಡರ ನಡುವೆ ಅರಸಿನಗುಂಡಿಯಂತಹ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ತಾಣಗಳು ಈ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಭೌಗೋಳಿಕ ವೈವಿಧ್ಯವನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸುತ್ತವೆ.
ಕಾಡಿನ ಆಳಕ್ಕೆ ನಡೆದು, ಬೆಟ್ಟದ ನೀರು ಧುಮ್ಮಿಕ್ಕುವ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ತಲುಪುವ ಅನುಭವವೇ ಅರಸಿನಗುಂಡಿ ಜಲಪಾತದ ನಿಜವಾದ ವಿಶೇಷತೆ.

Arasinagundi Falls is a forest waterfall located inside the Mookambika Wildlife Sanctuary near Kollur, in the Western Ghats of Udupi district. It is also known as Arasina Makki Falls and is close to the Kodachadri region.
The usual approach is from Kollur, with the route continuing through the forest before the trekking section begins. The final approach involves roughly 3–4 km of trekking, and forest entry permission is required at the check post. Because the route is inside a wildlife sanctuary, local guidance is recommended.
It is better suited to visitors who are comfortable with forest trekking and uneven terrain rather than those looking for an easy sightseeing spot. The trail can become slippery after rain, so families travelling with young children or elderly members should consider the trek conditions before planning the visit.
The main pool beneath the waterfall is not recommended for swimming, as the rocks and water conditions can be hazardous. Even when the water appears calm, the depth and underwater rocks may not be obvious. It is safer to enjoy the waterfall from a secure area.
October to December is a practical period for visiting, when the forest remains green and trekking conditions are generally more manageable after the heavy monsoon. During periods of heavy rain, visitors should check forest access and local conditions before starting the journey.
